This was a boy scout project, the boys were hanging packages on doors, making sure that all the stormwater drains were cleared and marking the drains. What a great project! I don’t know if the project was the parent’s idea or not, we’ve all been there, right? But it showed that what we know and what we are teaching our children about saving our environment is working.

A doorhanger outlining what can go into a drain and reminding us that whatever we put down the drain goes to our local creeks and lakes. Reminding us what NOT to put in the stormdrain such as paint, oil or chemicals.

Some children potty train easily and for others hey they just don’t want to. I remember stopping the car on the side of the road so my boys could “go”. Hey we do what we have to. With my boys I threw Cheerio’s in the bowl and said “go get ‘um”. Worked when I wanted it to, the boys on the other hand had their own ideas.
